Nazarene Course of Study Senior Program Coordinator

The senior program coordinator, in consultation with the Dean of Theology, supports the implementation, delivery, and quality assurance of the Church of the Nazarene’s Modular Course of Study [MCoS] Program.

The position is Part time (0.5 FTE).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement the start-up of the MCoS program
    • Create course shells in Ambrose’s Learning Management System and upload all course materials.
    • Communicate with and regularly update, in consultation with the Dean, District Boards of Ministry on the implementation of the program.
    • Execute various implementation tasks as assigned by the Dean of Theology.
  • Maintain the delivery and quality assurance of the MCoS program
    • Ensure quality of course facilitation and student assessment in collaboration with the Dean.
    • Recruit course facilitators in collaboration with the Dean and with District Boards of Ministry.
    • Prepare reports for the Dean to share with District Boards of Ministry on the MCoS program.
  • Support students in the MCoS program
    • Communicate upcoming courses to students and other related MCoS news.
    • Support prospective students with registration process and course selection.
    • Provide ongoing support for students in the program, e.g, direct students to learning services if appropriate.
    • Assess prior learning for advanced standing in the MCoS program in collaboration with Distict Boards of Ministry.
  • Develop, in consultation with the Dean and with District Boards of Ministry, a mentoring and discipleship program for students in the MCoS program.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Seminary degree or currently in a seminary program of study.
  • Ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene.
  • Previous experience in higher education an asset.

Skills

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Able to work independently.

  • Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Salary commensurate with education and experience.
