Student Summer Positions- Canada Summer Jobs Program
Ambrose University is pleased to offer a number of student summer employment opportunities through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. These positions provide valuable work experience for students and young professionals who are interested in contributing to the life and work of the university while building practical skills over the summer.

General Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary by position, but may include:
- Providing administrative, operational, program, student support, recruitment, library, or research assistance within the assigned department
- Supporting day-to-day departmental activities and helping ensure work is completed in an organized, accurate, and timely manner
- Assisting with projects, events, outreach, communications, data entry, records management, filing, reporting, or general office support
- Supporting faculty, staff, students, or community-facing initiatives through professional and responsive service
- Conducting research, gathering information, compiling data, organizing materials, and assisting with analysis or reporting where applicable
- Assisting with program delivery, camp coordination, student engagement, or service activities depending on the needs of the role
- Helping maintain orderly workspaces, materials, schedules, and documentation in accordance with departmental expectations

Support groundskeeping tasks such as cleaning, light landscaping, and waste management

Perform general physical tasks that require lifting, moving, and working on your feet for extended periods
- Using sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling information, tasks, and interactions
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, staff, faculty, and other student employees while also being able to manage assigned work independently
- Contributing positively to the Ambrose community by demonstrating reliability, initiative, flexibility, and a strong work ethic
- Following Ambrose policies, workplace expectations, and all applicable health, safety, and operational procedures
General Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Be eligible to work under the Canada Summer Jobs Program requirements
- Be dependable, organized, and able to take initiative
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Have basic computer skills relevant to the position
- Be able to manage time well and complete assigned work with accuracy and professionalism
- Be adaptable and willing to support the needs of the department as required
- Meet any additional qualifications outlined by the hiring department for the specific role
