SMART Connections: Alumni Return Home

When Ambrose University received the generous donation of a QX Pro 86” SMART Board from SMART Technologies for executive office use, it was a special homecoming moment for two of our School of Business alumni.
Cody Goertzen (’22) and Ryan Striemer (’11), both now part of the SMART Technologies team, returned to campus to personally walk President Rev. Dr. Bryce Ashlin-Mayo through the innovative features of the new device.
From classrooms to boardrooms, SMART Boards are transforming the way people teach, learn, and collaborate. Seeing two Ambrose graduates leading the way in this global EdTech company and returning to share their expertise with our community was a full-circle moment that showcased the impact of an Ambrose education.
For Cody and Ryan, returning to Ambrose wasn’t just about showcasing technology. It was about giving back to the community that launched their careers. Their story highlights the lasting impact of Ambrose graduates: leaders who innovate and embody the mission of Ambrose University to be redemptive actors in society, carrying their education with them wherever they go.
