Biography

Jason Erhardt is a native Calgarian, a conductor, singer, cellist and music director actively involved in the local performing arts community.  Jason counts it a privilege to direct the students and community musicians of the Ambrose University Orchestra.  Jason is also a Worship Pastor of Centre Street Church, Artistic Director of the Core Celebration Concerts and choral director with the Youth Singers of Calgary.  

Jason has conducted orchestra and opera concerts with The Mexico City Chamber Orchestra, Cowtown Opera Company and members of the Macedonia National Opera Company in Skopje. Jason has performed as bass-baritone soloist the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Cowtown Opera Company, the Calgary Civic Symphony, Calgary Concert Opera Company, Calgary Chinese Oratorio Society, Symphony of the Kooteneys, the Bow Valley Chorus and the Calgary Bach Society.  Other highlights include performing as conductor/producer of the annual Concert of Hope since 2007 as well as the music theatre productions of First Alliance Church where he served as fulltime music director for 22 years.  

Jason has a Bachelor of Music degree from Biola University and a Masters of Music in cello performance from The University of Southern California.
