Admitted Students - Seminary

Now that you have received admission to your program, you probably have questions about what happens next.
Here are some pointers on what to expect and what you still need to do in preparation.

Register for Courses

New Students for Winter 2024

Fees due: Due by the first day of classes
Residence Opens: January 7th, 2024
Orientation for New Students: January 8th, 2024
Classes Begin: January 8th, 2024
Convocation Chapel: January 9th, 2024
Last day to add or drop a course: January 21st, 2024

Keeping on Track

1. Submit your Tuition Deposit

In order to register for courses, domestic students must make a $250 non-refundable deposit and international students must make a $1500 non-refundable deposit. The tuition deposit can be paid in person by cash, cheque, Interac or by credit card. You can also phone 403-410-2910 with credit card information or mail in a cheque.

2. Register for classes

3. Program Requirement Sheets

See the complete list of courses that you need to enrol in and complete throughout your time at Ambrose in order to graduate from your program. Find your Program Requirement Sheet here.

4. Finances

Your education is one of the most important investments you will make. It is important to know that tuition and fees are due on the first day of classes and that you have multiple methods available to make your payment. To find out more, click here. 5. Register for Orientation

Orientation will provide students the opportunity to meet their faculty advisors, tour the campus, as well as connect with their future classmates. For more information click here.

6. Apply to live in Residence

Rooms in residence are available to seminary students. There are a limited number of single rooms. If you would like to live in Residence you will need to submit a Residence Application. Rooms are granted on a first come first serve basis. Room assignments will be determined in August.

7. Request your Final Post-Secondary Transcripts

Transcripts from institutions in Alberta will be requested by Ambrose University through Apply Alberta. Students who have attended a post-secondary institution outside of Alberta will need to request their final transcripts to be sent to Ambrose directly. Remember, for transcripts to be considered "Official" they must be sent directly from the issuing institution to Ambrose.

8. Email

You will receive all official Ambrose communication through your Ambrose e-mail. It is your responsibility to regularly check your Ambrose e-mail for important information from the Office of the Registrar, Student Development, Finance, and from Faculty.

9. Students with Accessibility Needs

Accommodations and services are intended to remove barriers related to the functional limitations caused by a disability or health condition. Students with documented disabilities or health conditions may be eligible for a number of accommodations and services while studying at Ambrose. The Accessibility Services Office staff will need to meet with you well in advance of the start of the semester to allow for sufficient time to arrange accommodations, services and potential funding opportunities. Students are responsible for contacting us to set up a meeting prior to each semester to discuss their needs as well as provide relevant and current medical, psycho-educational, and/or psychological documentation. 10. Ambrose Bookstore

The bookstore serves the university with textbooks, school clothing and gear, fair trade gifts, and general interest reading materials. Our online store is an excellent place to find out about course lists. For more information, visit here.
